ModernHEALTH was founded 35 years ago by Richard Katz and Ira Halpern, and is an independently owned and operated company with Rick and Ira actively involved in the daily operations.
Since its inception, ModernHEALTH has remained focused on the greater Los Angeles community, while at the same time expanding our programs and services and our geographical reach.
In the early days, we established a strong reputation for offering exceptional customer service and for strongly supporting the local community. As the HIV/AIDS epidemic began in the local community in the early 1980's, we continued our customer-centric approach by working with local doctors and drug manufacturers to get the much needed and expensive medications to patients in need.
