Richard I. Katz, Chief Executive Officer Richard Katz co-founded Modern HEALTHcare, Inc. in 1975 and Modern HOMEcare in 1989. Modern HOMEcare was sold to Beverly Enterprises in 1998. In his role as Chief Executive Officer of Modern HEALTH, Mr. Katz is primarily responsible for finance, operations, strategic business development and acquisitions. Mr. Katz holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Arizona and a Masters in Public Administration with a certificate in Healthcare Administration from the University of Southern California. Mr. Katz serves on the boards of various non-profit organizations in Southern California.
Ira R. Halpern, President Ira Halpern co-founded Modern HEALTHcare, Inc. in 1975 and co-founded Modern HOMEcare, Inc. in 1989. In his role as President of Modern HEALTH, Mr. Halpern is primarily responsible for strategic business development, sales and marketing. Mr. Halpern holds a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Arizona and a B.A. in Business Administration from California State University at Northridge.
Sherri J. Cherman, Pharm.D., Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer Sherri Cherman, Pharm.D., holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology with a certificate in Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California. In her role as Executive Vice President, Chief Operations Officer, she is responsible for all operational aspects of the Company, including Compliance, Intake and Billing, Contracting and Customer Service for all Service Centers and participates in strategic planning and implementation of the business strategy.
Mark C. Russell, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer As Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Mark Russell is responsible for the overall development and management of the Company's financial operation and participates in strategic planning and implementation of the business strategy. Mr. Russell is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
Brenda Goodman, Vice President, Business Development Brenda Goodman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from Groote Schurr Hospital in South Africa. As Vice President of Business Development, Ms. Goodman is responsible for the sales and new business strategies of the Company's Los Angeles and North Hollywood locations. Ms. Goodman is currently the President and a member of the Board of Directors of Aid for AIDS, a Los Angeles non-profit organization.
